Weather shields are a great addition to any vehicle, providing protection from the elements while allowing fresh air to circulate. In this blog post, we will discuss how to properly install weather shields with clips for optimal performance.
Why Use Clips for Installation?
Some weather shields are designed to use both double side tapes and clips to secure on window frame.
Using clips for installing weather shields ensures a secure and stable fit. Clips provide additional support and prevent the shields from coming loose or falling off while driving. This is especially important during high speeds or inclement weather conditions.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Hold the weather shield up to the window to ensure they are correctly aligned. Check the number of clips to ensure there are enough accessories.
- Use a cleaning cloth to thoroughly clean the surface where the weather shield will be installed.
- Insert the metal brackets between the window frame and rubber strips(not window channel).
- Apply dot of promoter directly on the surface of vehicle where you will stick weather shields on.(optional)
- Tear off 5-10cm of the tape at each ends of the shields. Make sure they are aligned correctly and securely attached. Once the tape is applied, tear off the remaining tape. Press down firmly to ensure a strong bond.
- Slide the metal brackets to the hole position of the weather shields.
- Use the black clips, pins and caps to close the holes, and secure all of the brackets to the shields.
- Don't wash the car for 48 hours after installation.
By following these steps, you can easily install weather shields with clips on your vehicle firmly. Enjoy the benefits of added protection from the elements and improved airflow without the hassle of a complicated installation process.
